Emma Godfrey is a visual artist with a desire of inquiry-based nature and the fantasy world that lives within her imagination. The application of painting, drawing and sculpture are an integral part of Emma’s practice.
Born in 1990, Emma Godfrey currently lives and works on the Gold Coast. In 2011, she graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the Queensland University of Technology in Brisbane. In 2013 she graduated with a Graduate Diploma in Education specialising in visual art’s education.
Since her first exhibition, her work has been shown through various galleries Australia-wide. She has since held solo shows such as Artist Emma Godfrey, Hill Top on Tamborine (2014). In 2012 she won the people’s choice award for the Clifton Art Prize in Brisbane.

Emma describes herself as a contemporary illustrative painter with ability to allow her imagination to break free, embracing her creativity to be removed from her mind and to be viewed by society.
